Isaiah 7:1-7:25
Key Verse: 7:14

1. 1. What kind of king was Ahaz? (2 Kings 16:1-4; 2 Chronicles 28:1-4) When Ahaz was king of Judah, what happened to the nation? (1; 2 Kings 16:5-7; 2 Chronicles 28:5-16) Now what was the house of David told and how did the king and his people respond to it? (2)

2. What did God tell Isaiah to do? (3) In God’s message to Ahaz through Isaiah, how did he view the invading kings? (4) What did he say about their plot? How did he reveal his sovereign rule? (5-9) How could Ahaz stand at this situation? What is its meaning?

3. Again, what did the LORD speak to Ahaz? (11) How did Ahaz respond to it? (12) At this what did Isaiah say? (13) What does this mean? What sign will the LORD himself give him? (14) How was this prophecy to be fulfilled? (Mt 1:22,23) What does this mean to Ahaz?

4. What was said of the child? (15) What will happen to the land of the two kings Ahaz dread and what will the LORD bring on Judah? (16,17) In that day what will the LORD do? (18-20) In that day what will a man do, and what will he and all who remain in the land will eat? (21,22) Why will they eat such food? In that day how will the cultivated land be changed? (23-25)
